Ink Card Fingerprinting
1.
Ink fingerprinting is a traditional method of collecting fingerprints where a person's fingertips are rolled in ink and then pressed onto a card to create a set of prints. This method is still widely used for various purposes, including federal applications, out-of-state requirements, and requests from foreign countries.
Live Scan Fingerprinting
2.
Live scan fingerprinting is a digital method of capturing fingerprints, which is faster and more accurate than traditional ink fingerprinting.
